Nine Year Absence - SEE SEE SEE

Greetz all,

It's been a while. About 9 and a half years to be honest. The publishing stopped about the time I was getting divorced, which, if you have ever been divorced makes sense. Priorities shift. Que Sera Sera.

So there is wildlife in there...

 

In the interim a lot of dumb shit has happened - I no longer do event photography, I haven't been to a belly dance event since my last post here (that was the ex's thing and I didn't want to be "that guy"), I've had maybe half a dozen solo photography shows (I no longer wait for invites - I just organize and host them myself). OK, what else? Oh yeah, I worked in paid media - a news site from a foreign country - doing J-video for a bit. Other than that, things have been chill.

 

I like the darker edits the best. It's just my nature.

It's a small difference but I like it better. 

 

One important thing that changed over the last year is my priorities. I used to want to make it photo big, you know, sort of be a Zoriah. But I was never that good and eventually it sank in. And i should mention that one thing did stay the same - I like to share what I do. Some of us are forever that 4 year old coming home with a drawing to proudly show mom, sticking out the crayoned paper in a clutched fist, proudly repeating "SEE!?! SEE!?! SEE!?!"

Blogs are so... so... so 2011. But I appreciate them for what they are. I have a FaceBook (banned 5 times in the last year for not playing nice. Hint: art nudes as still nudes. They may up 2 of my bans) and a YouTube (banned twice, one current). Instagram is lame. and LBRY (which I love dearly) is not the same as a blog.

An old guy photographer needs old guy solutions, so Blogspot it is.
